1. Who we are
Qrush is a consent-first dating and connection service for LGBTQ+ people. In this policy, "Qrush," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the Qrush service available through the Qrush app and qrushapp.net.
If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise a privacy right, contact us at support@qrushapp.net.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your email address, username, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, and basic account settings.
- Profile information you choose to provide, including display name, age, photos, bio, interests, city or region, relationship intentions, pronouns, orientation, gender identity, comfort preferences, and consent settings.
- Content and interactions, such as conversation requests, messages, meetup activity, reports, blocks, profile views, support requests, and moderation history.
- Verification and safety materials, such as photos, verification video paths, report details, account deletion requests, and other materials you submit for trust and safety review.
- Device, log, and usage information, such as app events, approximate location derived from your choices or permissions, IP address, device type, browser type, crash logs, diagnostics, and security signals.
3. Sensitive information and your choices
Qrush is designed around identity, consent, and intentional connection. Some profile fields may reveal sensitive information, including LGBTQ+ identity, pronouns, orientation, relationship context, dating intentions, comfort level, and safety preferences. We use this information to provide the service you request, improve matching, personalize safety controls, and support moderation.
You choose what to add to your profile. Some information may be needed to create a safe and useful Qrush experience, but you can update many preferences in the app.
4. How we use information
- Create and maintain your account, profile, preferences, and app settings.
- Provide discovery, conversation requests, chat, meetup, verification, premium, and safety features.
- Show compatible profiles and approved public content while respecting privacy, block, deletion, and moderation rules.
- Review reports, photos, meetups, verification requests, and account deletion requests.
- Detect spam, fraud, abuse, harassment, illegal activity, and violations of our Terms.
- Send transactional notices, respond to support requests, troubleshoot bugs, analyze product performance, and improve the service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
5. How information may be shared
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as needed to operate Qrush, protect users, comply with law, or with your direction.
- With other users, when you choose to make profile information, photos, messages, meetup activity, or other content visible through Qrush features.
- With service providers that host infrastructure, authentication, storage, analytics, email, support, security, payments, or similar operational services.
- With moderators, support staff, or trusted reviewers when needed to handle safety, reports, verification, account deletion, or policy enforcement.
- With legal, regulatory, or law enforcement authorities when we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
- As part of a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate privacy protections.
6. Location, cookies, and analytics
Qrush may use city, state, country, or approximate location context to support local discovery and meetup features. We do not need precise live location for the core dating experience unless a future feature clearly asks for it.
Our website and app may use cookies, local storage, analytics, and similar technologies to keep the service working, understand usage, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Qrush, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain safety records, and prevent abuse. Retention periods may vary by data type.
You can request account and data deletion in the app or through our Delete Account / Data page. Some records may be retained where required or permitted by law, including security, fraud prevention, payment, moderation, or legal records.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authentication controls, access restrictions, secure infrastructure, and moderation workflows. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong password and keep account credentials private.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to appeal certain decisions or opt out of certain data uses.
To make a request, contact support@qrushapp.net. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
10. Children and eligibility
Qrush is not for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to Qrush, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Qrush changes or legal requirements evolve. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, the website, or another reasonable method. The updated policy applies when posted unless a different effective date is stated.
